You are invited to join us for a 'cracklin' good fun 'Piggy Race Night', to help us raise money towards a new community transport minibus.

It's on Friday 31st August at 7.00pm in Armstrong's Social Club in Beverley.

Tickets are £10 in advance, and include a hot roast pork butty and chips, with vegetarian options available on request.

CEO of Beverley Community Lift Jan Stainforth explained more: "There will eight races, with eight fluffy, pink, battery-powered piggies oinking, snuffling and wiggling their snouts and curly tails as they go down the racetrack for each race. It's great fun to watch, and the excitement really builds as people encourage their piggies across the finishing line.

"We are looking for sponsors for each of the eight races. Race sponsorship costs just £10 and you can choose the name of the race. It's a good way to promote your company or give a name check to someone special.

"Each piggy can also be sponsored for £3, and we look forward to some great piggy names - 'Cracklin' Rosie' is just one suggested so far!

"So come along and join us for a really fun family event. There's also a raffle, and drinks can be purchased from the Armstrong's Club bar."

"As this will be my last day of employment with Beverley Community Lift, I am hoping that everyone will get behind me and support this fun event, so I can raise as much money as possible for the charity as I leave."
