Beverley Community Lift's first ever charity shop has been officially declared open!

Town Crier Michael Wood pronounced the new shop open, and two of Beverley Community Lift's passengers cut the ceremonial ribbon.

CEO Jan Stainforth said: "We are very proud to open our first charity shop. It's great that so many of our Trustees, local businesses and volunteers turned out to celebrate the opening, and see for themselves the wide variety of 'treasure' on offer.

"We would invite everyone to come into the shop, say hello and have a good look round. We would be pleased to receive donated good such as clothing, bric-a-brac and vinyl records.

"Located on Sow Hill Road in the centre of Beverley, the shop is a new venture for the charity which has been established for over 47 years, and it is hoped that it will bring in new passengers, volunteer drivers, and of course much needed funds."
