Do you have some free time that you would like to use helping elderly or diabled people in your local community to get to medical and social appointments?

BCL- working with Home Instead Beverley- is providing a new transport service to their Dine, meet and socialise events. Held at The Highfield in Beverley on the second Thursday of every month these events include Live music, Bingo & Play Your Cards Right. A two course light bite meal can be purchased and cost of door to door transport in our minibus is only £3 payable on the day. Our first outing on 11th August was a great success with one attendee winning  Play Your Cards Right on her first ever game!

We were contacted by Sam, founder of Fitmums & Friends, asking if we would be able to help with providing transport for 3 children to their new programme, Together in Grief - The Forest Project.

We are working together with Kirsty Flint, from the Regional Driving Assessment Centre, RDAC, to help people stay mobile and retain as much independence as possible as and when they are no longer able to drive their own car.

An Autumn Fair held on 23rd October at Toll Gavel Church Beverley- our first in over two years - heralded a welcome sense of normality returning. The event was well attended with some of our service users  from Stamford Bridge joining us on the day. Stalls included cakes, crafts, raffle & tombola and just over £216 was raised . Thanks go to all who helped.

Beverley residents were treated to an afternoon of entertainment as part of  Older People Celebration week. Run by Older Peoples Partnership Hull and East Riding, the four day event took  place in Cottingham, Hessle and Hull was much enjoyed by all who attended.
