New volunteers have come forward to help Beverley Community Lift (BCL) offer more journeys to local vaccination centres, after an appeal was made by the charity.

Housebuilder Barratt Developments Yorkshire East has donated £1,000 to Beverley Community Lift (BCL), to boost the support offered to residents of Beverley, Cottingham, Pocklington, Market Weighton and the surrounding areas.

Beverley Community Lift is receiving calls from people enquiring about transport to the COVID-19 vaccination centres at Beverley Racecourse and York.

Beverley Community Lift will close its operations for the Christmas and New Year period at 12 noon on Thursday 24th December and will re-open at 9am on Monday 4th January 2021. The charity shop on Sow Hill Road will be back in business on Tuesday 5th at 9am.

Beverley Community Lift has weathered a 50th birthday year like no other, a testing 12 months in common with so many other great causes.
