A group of youngsters has given the transport charity, Beverley Community Lift, a boost with a donation of almost £280 to help its passengers with their journeys.

Social outings provided by Beverley Community Lift from Holme-upon-Spalding Moor have been given a cash boost by the National Lottery.

The East Yorkshire community transport operator, Beverley Community Lift (BCL), has launched an appeal for new volunteers in the county as the charity approaches its 50th anniversary year.

Beverley Community Lift (BCL) received a Yorkshire Day treat with a donation of £500 towards minibus activities in the county.

Thank you to everyone who took part, supported, and volunteered at our recent 24-hour Sing-a-thon, in conjunction with Leconfield Community Choir.  We raised an amazing £3,700 which will go to our replacement minibus fund.  Much of the money raised came from people buying tickets for our grand prize draw, below are the details of the lucky winners.

We are looking for an outgoing, proactive and enthusiastic, part-time marketing co-ordinator to support the delivery of the charity’s marketing strategy.  The role will suit someone who has previous experience of marketing and who is keen to work with a charity. A good telephone manner and ability to communicate at all levels is essential.
